Mira Vista Neighborhood Residence

This property was graced with existing old Post Oak and Cedar Elm trees, which provide ample shade. The homeowners desired a predominantly native landscape around the immediate residence with both color and curb appeal, while requiring minimal maintenance and resilience against our harsh summers and winter freezes. We selected yucca and agave, complemented by salvias, black-eyed Susan, and society garlic for vibrant color. Texas Mountain Laurel trees and fire witch dianthus were added for additional charm. For privacy, we installed shrub walls comprised of Nellie R. Stevens Holly and Foster's Holly. To manage the heavy shade, we pruned the tree canopies to let in some light and planted St. Augustine grass for the lawn.
